The Learning Tree has been shortlisted for Private Tutoring Provider of the Year at the National Tutoring Awards

A small independent tutoring business has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award and is now appealing for Enfield residents to take part in a public vote.
The Learning Tree, founded by two local primary teachers, has officially been shortlisted for Private Tutoring Provider of the Year 2026 at the National Tutoring Awards – a nationwide awards programme recognising excellence within the education and tutoring sector across the whole of the UK.
The Cockfosters-based business is currently only in its second year. What began as a small community-focused tuition provision has rapidly grown into a learning centre supporting families across Enfield, Barnet, and Hertfordshire. Sessions are now held at The Learning Tree’s centre, local schools, as well as online.
Founded with the aim of “creating supportive, confidence-building learning environments for children”, The Learning Tree has become known locally for its small-group approach, hands-on teaching style and strong community relationships with families and schools.
Co-founder Stephanie Nicolaou said: “We are honestly still in shock. To be recognised nationally alongside some incredibly established tutoring companies feels surreal, The Learning Tree was built from a genuine passion for supporting local children and families, so this recognition means the world to us.”
The winners of the National Tutoring Awards 2026 will be announced in July. Although there is an independent expert panel with judges, there is also a ‘people’s choice’ category where the public can vote.
