The survey is aimed at council tenants who live in one of the 55 council-managed high-rises, reports Grace Howarth, Local Democracy Reporter

Enfield Council has launched a building safety consultation for residents living in high-rise buildings.
The survey is aimed at council tenants who live in one of the 55 council-managed high-rises. Residents are being asked to help shape the council’s new building safety resident engagement strategy.
The council stated that, following the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022 in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, there has been “greater focus on the need to keep residents informed on matters relating to fire and building safety”.
How the council can “best communicate” and work with residents when it comes to fire and building safety is what the focus of the survey which closes on Tuesday, 30th September.
The survey checks what block residents live in, how residents would prefer to receive updates, the type of building safety information they are most interested in and whether residents know what to do in the event of a fire.
Feedback on what building managers can do to improve safety measures and how safe residents feel is also requested.
As well as filling in the survey residents can also email the council’s building safety team.
