An Enfield man who killed his ex-girlfriend and two members of her family last July has finally admitted his guilt in court.

Kyle Clifford, aged 26 and from Rendlesham Road, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court this morning (Wednesday 22nd) where he changed his previous ‘not guilty’ pleas to admit to carrying out all three of their murders.

The victims were Carol Hunt, aged 61, and her daughters Hannah Hunt, aged 28, and Louise Hunt, aged 25. Clifford had been in a relationship with Louise and, after the relationship ended, carried out the attack on her and her family at their house in Bushey, near Watford in Hertfordshire, on 9th July 2024.

Carol was stabbed to death while Hannah and Louise were shot with a crossbow.

Clifford also pleaded guilty to false imprisonment and possession of an offensive weapon. He pleaded not guilt to a charge of raping Louise Hunt.

Hannah had called the police at around 7pm on 9th July after initially surviving her wounds, but later died. The police call sparked a manhunt that ended in Lavender Hill Cemetery in Enfield nearly 24 hours later.

Carol was the wife of BBC racing commentator John Hunt. Hannah and Louise were their daughters.

Clifford grew up in Enfield and attended Chace Community School.
