The shopping centre is inviting residents to its annual Christmas lights launch next week

Edmonton Green Shopping Centre is inviting the community to its much-anticipated annual Christmas lights switch-on event.

On Friday, 15th November, the centre’s north square will be transformed into an enchanting snow and ice paradise, offering a festive experience entirely free of charge, with activities and entertainment for all ages.

A free, synthetic ice skating rink means families can enjoy the thrill of skating, but without the chill. From 5.30pm, there’ll be music and entertainment from local talents, starting from 5:30 pm onwards, leading into the countdown to the Christmas lights switch-on at 6.30pm.

Also look out for stilt walkers and don’t miss out on a special visit from Eddie the Elephant, who will be adding extra cheer and Christmas spirit to the event.

And visitors can also enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate and white candy floss.

Sam Ibrahim, centre manager at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to invite our community to this year’s ‘There’s Snow Place Like Edmonton Green’ Christmas Light Switch-On event.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate the festive season together. We’re especially pleased to offer a range of free activities for everyone to enjoy and participate in. We look forward to seeing families and friends create lasting memories in our Edmonton Green winter wonderland!

“Please come along and join us in making this an enjoyable and spectacular time.”
