Job seekers from across Enfield will be able to access interactive workshops, industry talks and careers support during a unique jobs fair event in Edmonton next month.

Coinciding with Black History Month, the event is being hosted at Edmonton Green Library by WO Consultancy, which already runs weekly job clubs in both Enfield and Edmonton.

Explaining the idea behind the concept of the event being held on 10th October from 10am-4pm, Williamz Omope, director of WO Consultancy, said: “Our goal for this event is to raise aspirations and provide tangible support for local community members, especially those in Enfield and the surrounding areas.

“We want to break away from the conventional job fair format by offering interactive workshops, real-time career support, and opportunities to connect directly with industry professionals. The event also coincides with Black History Month, which aligns with our focus on promoting diversity and inclusion in the job market.

“The core idea behind the event is to address barriers to employment—whether it’s a lack of confidence, digital exclusion, or limited access to industry knowledge.

“To do this, we’ve curated a range of workshops covering topics like CV writing, personal branding, and interview techniques, while also providing services like free headshots, haircuts, and access to digital tools like memory sticks for CV storage.”

Attendees can expect workshops on CV writing, personal branding, starting your own business, interview techniques, plus industry insights from local business owners, networking opportunities, advice about courses, and even a chance to get a professional headshot.

Williamz says he hopes the event will “empower attendees with practical tools and advice they can apply immediately to their job search” as well as “create a supportive environment where individuals can network with employers and experts from various industries” and “raise awareness of the employment opportunities and pathways that are available within the community”.

WO Consultancy’s job clubs take place every Tuesday at Enfield Town Library and every Wednesday at Edmonton Green Library, from 10am-1pm.
