Edmonton Running Club has been nominated for a prestigious award by England Athletics.
The club, which was formed in 1981 and is based at Hazelwood Sports Club in Winchmore Hill, has been nominated by England Athletics for the title of ‘London Club of the Year’ and online voting is now live until 11th August.
Edmonton is up against Ruislip and Tooting running clubs for the accolade. James Gill, chairman of Edmonton RC, said: “The club, which hosts the popular annual 10k ‘Run the River’ race, has been recognised for its positive energy, spirit of inclusivity and investment in raising club standards.
“Voting is now live on the England Athletics website, and remains open until 11th August. So if you’re part of the local running community or perhaps have enjoyed ‘Run the River 10k’, then please consider voting for Edmonton RC.”
