The Guardians of Whitewebbs activist hopes his new track will inspire people to protect the environment

A local environmental campaigner has released a song to coincide with the International Day for Biological Diversity today (Friday 22nd).
Sam Gracie is a singer-songwriter and music producer who also helps organise the Guardians of Whitewebbs campaign group in Enfield, which opposes the plans by Tottenham Hotspur to build a women’s training centre on Whitewebbs Park.
Guardians of Whitewebbs is the group which is due to take Enfield Council to court next month after winning the right to launch a judicial review challenge against the civic centre’s decision to grant planning permission to Spurs last year.
The song Can you find me, you, us? is being released as a collaboration together with Michigan-based musician Cece Alaniz.
It is described as “a hauntingly beautiful indie art pop piece which fuses soulful and ambient guitar and synthesiser melodies with alternative R&B rhythms”.
Sam says the song “explores the relationship between climate change, humanity, division and connection through a unique mixed-media lens”.
He continues: “Paired with my campaigning, this release embodies the theme of the 2026 International Day for Biological Diversity – ‘acting locally for global impact‘.”
Regarding his work with Cece, Sam adds: “Collaboration is always thrilling and exciting, and it produces some of the most beautiful, unexpected outcomes.”
