Chickenshed Theatre will be hosting a two-day festival later this month as a showcase of its young talent.

Rise Festival is described as “an exciting opportunity” to see new theatre from the young voices of Chickenshed and a “celebration of bold ideas, creative risk-taking, and the power of diverse voices in theatre”.

The Southgate charity will present eight original theatrical pieces over two days on 14th and 15th February, when Chickenshed’s young artists will take the stage with brand new work that “challenges, inspires and captivates”.

From intimate monologues to explosive ensemble performances, audiences should expect “powerful new writing, original music, and stories drawn from lived experience” with each piece being “a unique reflection of the world through the eyes of these exceptional young theatre-makers”.

Rise Festival takes place at Chickenshed Theatre, 290 Chase Side, Southgate, on Friday 14th February from 7pm and Saturday 15th from 2pm. Tickets are £18 for adults, or £15 for concessions, which includes both days. For more information:
