Parenting app Anya has partnered with Enfield Council to provide free support during pregnancy and the first two years after birth
An “innovative” pregnancy, parenting and baby feeding app has launched in Enfield to offer parents free 24/7 support.
The partnership between Enfield Council and Anya will enable local parents, carers and anyone expecting a baby to access round-the-clock infant feeding support on their phones and devices at any time.
Anya’s premium features include 3D interactive animations, AI-powered virtual companion, web drop-ins, parenting programmes, live chat with parenting specialists and information about local Enfield parenting services to support the early parenting journey.
Free premium access is available for Enfield parents throughout the critical first thousand days from conception until the child’s second birthday.
Abdul Abdullahi, the council’s cabinet member for children’s services, said: “As a council, we are very proud to offer access to apps such as Anya that can support the journeys of new parents in Enfield.
“As well as Anya, our trained and caring professionals are available during critical times in your child’s development.
“From free online Solihull Approach courses about emotional health and child development to providing frequent workshops on postnatal fitness, breastfeeding, baby massage and more in our youth and family hubs, new parents of Enfield can always get the support they need.”
Dr Chen Mao Davies, CEO of Anya, said: “I am incredibly proud to welcome Enfield Council as a partner in our mission to provide round the clock support for parents in their early parenting journey. Anya’s AI virtual companion is here to empower families with 24/7 support on pregnancy, parenting, and infant feeding for children aged up to two years.
“Together, we will enhance the parenting experience and ensure that every family has access to the resources they need for the best start to life.”
Anya is part of the Start For Life offer for parents as a digital support companion. The initiative has been supported with funding from the Department of Education.
