Staff at Barclays want to help clean up the high street and surrounding area, writes Jade Lennon

A bank branch in Enfield Town is encouraging people to get involved with a new regular litter-picking event.
Staff at Barclays are hosting the first litter-picking session this Saturday (4th), meeting outside the branch after it closes at 1pm.
Emer King, a community ambassador at Barclays Enfield Town, explained that she is “passionate about the Enfield community I live and work in” and expressed how ”litter picking is a simple way to improve the local environment while bringing colleagues together around a shared purpose”.
The initiative has been supported by Danielle Shap, a “CleanUp UK champion” in Enfield who regularly organises litter picking events at Hilly Fields in Clay Hill.
Danielle added: “Barclays have been so supportive of Hilly Fields, and we are proud to be assisting them to start a litter pick in Enfield Town.
“We are looking forward to working together to encourage other businesses, users and visitors in the area and make a positive impact in the area and hopefully work towards setting up a CleanUp UK hub in the area.”
