Chickenshed Theatre hopes to raise £15,000 to support its “life changing” work with young people and local communities, writes Jade Lennon

A Southgate charity and theatre has announced its annual charity walk.
Enfield residents are being encouraged to sign up for the ‘Wonder Walk’ event and enjoy a day filled with “heart, energy, music and community spirit”.
The fundraising walk – which aims to raise £15,000 – will take place on Sunday, 7th June, with participants advised to arrive at 9.30am for a range of activities beforehand, including face-painting, before the walk starts at 11am.
It will be accessible to all with the option of a 5km or 10km route through Cockfosters, Oakwood, Winchmore Hill and Southgate, including Trent, Oakwood and Grovelands parks.
For the walk, participants will be given a “fabulous goody bag” containing a route map, water and “some surprises”. At the finish line, there will be wood-fired pizzas and a “celebratory drink”.
