Two “television soap queens” from North London are appearing at Millfield Theatre to discuss their careers.

Diane Parish and Tameka Empson have appeared together as sisters Denise and Kim in Eastenders since 2006 and 2009 respectively. They also have a wide range of other film and television credits between them including The Bill, Lovejoy and Whitechapel.

The pair are both North Londoners, with Diane living in Enfield and Tameka in Haringey. They will be appearing together at Millfield Theatre in Edmonton in March to discuss their careers in the industry lasting more than 25 years. The audience will also be treated to a “never been seen before” live performance.

‘Sisters On Screen’ is the brainchild of producer Judd Batchelor, a local Enfield resident herself. She said: “I feel lucky to know these two lovely ladies, and for them to be the first honourees for our event.

“We are also working on our next event and hopefully we get a chance to celebrate TV chefs such as Rustie Lee,  Nadiya Hussain and Lorraine Pascale, that would be wonderful to do!”

Diane and Tameka say they are “so excited” to be taking part, because they usually only work on camera together.

Sisters on Screen takes places on Saturday, 29th March from 7.30pm at at Millfield Theatre, Silver Street, Edmonton N18 1PJ. For early bird tickets priced at £26.50 until 31st January:
