Enfield Chasers Running Club is organising its first-ever cross-country open race at Whitewebbs

An Enfield running club will be hosting its first-ever cross-country race later this month.
The Whitewebbs Open Cross Country is being hosted by Enfield Chasers Running Club on Sunday, 28th September, and is set to be “a muddy good time”.
The 8km race will follow a route around the park’s former golf course and adjacent woodland, including some hilly sections and “just enough chaos to keep it fun”.
Runners can expect sand traps, tree jumps, and even an optional river crossing.
The course will be fully marked and marshalled, and the entry fee is from £5.
Runners of all abilities are welcome to join in and do not need to be members of Enfield Chasers.
Club chair Andrew Dewar said: “We’re testing the waters, or maybe the mud, with this one!
“Our hope is that Whitewebbs can one day become part of a league calendar. For now, we’d just love to see local runners come out, give it a go, and help make it a memorable first edition.”
