Trish Holmes first joined the Met in 2003 and has been described by a colleague as representing “the very best of neighbourhood policing”

A police community support officer (PCSO) is hanging up her hat after more than 22 years of serving Enfield.

PCSO Trish Holmes has proudly dedicated her entire policing career to Enfield Town ward, after starting in the role back in 2003.

Since then Trish has become an integral part of the local community and a recognisable face for local residents, businesses and police partners.

In 2012, Trish’s commitment and impact was recognised, and she was made an MBE for services to community policing.

Enfield police constable Sophia Di Giovanna sent out a tribute to Trish this week and said: “Her contribution to neighbourhood policing has been nothing short of exceptional.

“Throughout her career Trish has worked tirelessly to build trust, solve community problems, and represent the very best of neighbourhood policing.

“Trish has been loved by residents and colleagues alike. Her energy, positivity and dedication to ‘getting things done’ have made her well known across the Met, and her absence will be felt across the borough and particularly by her team.

“We would like to express our sincere thanks for everything she has done for Enfield Town and for the Metropolitan Police Service. We wish her every success and happiness in the next chapter.”
