Bulgarian folk club performance at Millfield Theatre aims to introduce people to the country’s cultural heritage

A Bulgarian community group is inviting people to a showcase of dance, songs and authentic costumes in Edmonton this month.
Bulgarian folk club Meraklii will be performing an anniversary festive concert at Millfield Theatre in Edmonton on Saturday, 15th March from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
The group will present the “traditional dances of Bulgarian groups and formations in our beautiful traditional Bulgarian costumes with unique cultural dances and songs”.
Enfield borough, and Edmonton in particular, has one of the highest concentrations of Bulgarian nationals in London with many activities and events taking place locally throughout the year. The Bulgarian Roma population is thought to the largest in the UK.
