Three Spurs players paid a festive visit to the children’s ward at North Middlesex Hospital this week and help spread some Christmas cheer.

Tottenham Hotspur has a long-standing tradition of visiting North Mid around the Christmas period to visit sick children with the players taking time out of their busy schedules to bring smiles to the faces of young patients.

Visiting the Rainbow Ward this year were winger Ryan Sessegnon, youth player Alfie Dorrington and reserve goalkeeper Brandon Austin.

During their time at the Edmonton hospital the players generously distributed gifts and souvenirs to the young patients.

Afterwards, Ryan Sessegnon said: “For us, these visits may look little but it’s very big for them. Just for us to spread joy and happiness is very important.”

Brandon Austin agreed and said: “For us to come here is good for the patients, especially the children as we spread some Christmas joy. It’s obviously difficult for some families right now, so anything we can do to raise their spirit is always nice.”

Alfie Dorrington added: “It means a lot to give back to our community, seeing the little kids put smile on their faces, it means a lot to the club and to us.”

Michelle Lai-kit, a parent to one of the children who has been staying in the hospital for five weeks, said: “It means a lot to see the Tottenham Hotspur players be part of the community and share some Christmas spirit on the wards to the sick children. We felt honoured and special. Thank you so much for the lovely gift. My son absolutely adores it.”
