After the success of November’s event, CareerQuest returns to the Dugdale later this month

Local residents packed Dugdale Arts Centre last November for UK CareerQuest, a community-driven careers event that is already making waves across Enfield.
From students to jobseekers, attendees came together to access advice, mentorship and real opportunities – all led by local people, for local people.
The timing couldn’t be more crucial. Latest government figures show declining opportunities with many young Enfield residents facing steep barriers to work, making community-led solutions essential.
Paul Everitt, co-ordinator of LocalMotion Enfield, has been delighted to support founders Warren Campbell and Ebony Bain. He said: “Warren and Ebony have always put the community at the heart of their work.
“Their leadership is creating real opportunities for local people, helping them build skills, confidence, and futures they can be proud of.”
CareerQuest connected attendees with employers, training providers, and industry professionals, with 37 CVs reviewed and nine job offers made on the day. The event also featured an interview with Enfield mayor Margaret Greer, who spoke about representation, leadership, and pride in serving the borough – echoing LocalMotion Enfield’s values of access, visibility, and empowerment.
Events like CareerQuest show that when the community leads, opportunities grow. It’s about more than jobs – it’s about building confident futures for everyone in our borough.
LocalMotion Enfield will continue championing community-led initiatives that support residents in navigating a challenging employment landscape.
UK CareerQuest returns on Saturday, 27th February, from 5pm-8pm. Register via Eventbrite:
