It promises a “fun, safe and welcoming introduction to football” for girls aged between five and eleven years

A youth football club in Enfield is launching new training sessions for girls this weekend.
Enfield Rangers is hosting the first ‘Wildcats’ session on Saturday (11th) at its Carterhatch Lane training facility.
The programme is aimed at girls aged from five to eleven years, providing a “fun, safe and welcoming introduction to football”.
The first session completely free.
Wildcats is a national programme developed by The Football Association to encourage more girls in this age group to get involved in football.
Enfield Rangers is launching the local programme with support from the Middlesex Football Association, which will be attending the first few sessions before they’re led by the Rangers’ female coaching team.
Club director Dee Mangan said: “We’re delighted to be launching our new Wildcats football sessions at Enfield Rangers this Saturday 11th July, providing girls aged five to eleven with a fun, safe and welcoming introduction to the game.
“Wildcats is designed specifically for girls of all abilities, whether they’re taking their very first kick of a football or already have some experience.
“Our aim is to inspire more girls to get involved in football, build confidence, make new friends and enjoy being active in a positive team environment. We hope these sessions will encourage even more local girls to discover a love of football and become part of the Enfield Rangers family.
“We would love to welcome as many local families as possible to come along and give it a try, with the first session completely free.”
