Dugdale Arts Centre is hosting an “exciting” one-day music festival celebrating Pride with LGBTQ artists, voices and communities – headlined by a 2000s pop star.

Attendees of ‘Chroma: A Festival of Pride’ on Saturday, 18th July will be able to enjoy a “vibrant programme” of live performances, including a mix of live acts, tributes and DJs across two stages, both indoors and outdoors.

Pop icon Jo O’Meara from S Club (formerly S Club 7) will be headlining Chroma, followed by Enfield’s own Natalie Shay, a multi-award-winning Brit School graduate, plus a range of talented performers including Bollyqueer, Harem of No One, Letti O’Burn and more.

Open to all ages, Chroma aims to celebrate Pride “in full colour, creating an uplifting atmosphere that celebrates identity, creativity and community pride”.

Alongside the music, there will be a chance to shop and browse stalls with goods from LGBTQ makers, plus a wide range of food and drinks will be available throughout the day.

Council leader Alessandro Georgiou, who was recently criticised for the decision to not fly a Pride flag this summer at Enfield Civic Centre, said: “We are proud to welcome amazing and talented LGBTQI+ artists, performers and community members in our diverse borough.

“Pride in Enfield means celebrating and championing the voices that makes Enfield vibrant. We are thrilled to host an event like Chroma that support inclusivity and inspires connection.”

The event is sponsored by Palace Shopping and Love Your Doorstep and is supported by local Enfield businesses.
